At last count, which was earlier this year, Funko had released more than 13,000 Pop! figures. Whether you already own some of them or you're starting your collection from square one, that number can seem pretty intimidating. Especially if, like me, you're interested in pretty much everything Funko has given the Pop! treatment. Whether it's Marvel, Disney, or WWE, pretty much every major series and franchise in the world now has some Funko Pop! figures.

If you simply can't decide where to start or go next, that's where we come in. With Funko releasing new Pop! figures across all of its categories all of the time, even just keeping up with what's new can be hard, let alone picking out the ones you like most so you can add them to your collection. That's why we've gone through some of Funko's newer figures and picked out which ones we think are the best. Selected from a number of different categories, I'd be willing to bet there's at least one Pop! you like below, and probably two or three.

Wicket With Slingshot Funko Pop!
Star Wars

The Original Ewok

Wicket is the first Ewok Star Wars fans were ever introduced to. It's only right the little guy be immortalized as a Funko Pop! It's about damn time.

Pros
  • Ready to cuddle and ready to fight
  • A reminder of the original cute character cash grab
Cons
  • Not actually as cuddly as it looks, kind of like a real Ewok

A long time ago, in a galaxy not that far away, the creators of Star Wars decided they needed a race of characters that looked like teddy bears so their replicas could be sold to kids. Enter the Ewok, and the first Ewok we were ever properly introduced to was Wicket. If you have been watching Star Wars since the very beginning, then the Ewok you think of whenever you hear their name is probably Wicket. Watch out for that slingshot, he'll get ya. Who even needs a lightsaber, right?

Rita Repulsa Funko Pop!
Power Rangers

After 10,000 Years She's Free! Well, Actually She's $15

Rita Repulsa was the OG villain in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and her power was unleashed once again in 2023's anniversary special. It has been unleashed a second time in the space of a year but this time, it's in the much less threatening form of a Funko Pop!

Pros
  • A call back to the original and best era of Power Rangers
  • As new as new gets, revealed ahead of this year's Comic-Con
Cons
  • Not to be confused with Funko's older, more expensive Repulsa Pop!

The original Power Rangers returned in 2023 for a one-off Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers anniversary special. An unwelcome reminder of how old those of us who watched the original series when it aired are now, but still a lot of fun. The feeling I had in my stomach when I heard Rita Repulsa's voice for the first time since I was about six took me right back to the 1990s. So you don't have to wait for the next anniversary special, Funko has released a brand new Repulsa Pop! figure. A must-have for anyone who felt the same way I did watching that special.

Geralt Funko Pop!
The Witcher

Toss A Coin To Your Funko

Geralt as a Funko Pop!, and to make it even better - something I bet you didn't think was possible - his little sword glows in the dark.

Pros
  • Glows in the dark, protecting you from monsters 24/7
  • This Pop! can always be Henry Cavill if you want it to be
Cons
  • I know some of you would prefer a lore-accurate Geralt sword
  • The sword kind of looks like a cheesestring (sorry)

Since this is technically a video game site, it only seems right we include at least one Funko Pop! figure inspired by a character from a video game. Yes, I know The Witcher games are technically based on books, but come on. It's Geralt and his little sword glows in the dark, what else do you want from me? It's also a welcome reminder that Geralt can be whoever you want him to be. He was a different guy in the books, the games, and the Netflix show, so try your very best to not get upset when Henry Cavill is replaced by Liam Hemsworth. Yes, I know all too well that's going to be very hard for some of you.

harleen quinzel comic covers funko pop

Harleen Quinzel Comic Covers Funko Pop!
DC

Where's Mr. J?

The final moments of Harleen Quinzel before she becomes the infamous Harley Quinn. A part of Funko's special comic covers Pop! figures that come complete with a cover from the character's past as a backdrop.

Pros
  • A part of the very cool comic cover collection
  • Perfect for a one-off purchase if you're not interested in a collection
Cons
  • Currently listed as coming soon, hopefully the wait won't be too long

The rise of Harley Quinn over the course of the last decade or so has been a fascinating one. A core DC character for far longer, Quinn has arguably become one of the most instantly recognizable characters from that universe behind Batman, Superman, and The Joker. Quinn has her own TV show, one of the world's most famous actresses playing her in movies, and appears to be the lead character in Kill The Justice League, although that might not be such a good thing anymore. This Pop! shows the final moments before she transforms from Harleen Quinzel, and it comes with an incredibly cool backdrop in the form of a Quinn DC comic.

western ken funko pop

Western Ken Funko Pop!
Barbie

I'm Just Ken

The Barbie movie is finally out there and it's every bit as good as those of us waiting for it expected it to be. A number of Pop! figures celebrating its release are coming, and Western Ken might well be the pick of the bunch.

Pros
  • Various Barbie movie Pop! figures available
  • The world's most famous dolls are now Funko Pops
  • Teeming with Kenergy
Cons
  • Another one that currently has the coming soon label

Since we just covered a Funko Pop! figure synonymous with Margot Robbie, it only makes sense the next one be from the brand new additions made to celebrate the release of the Barbie movie. Yes, it's a tenuous segue, but it's too late now, I've done it. Funko is launching a bunch of Pops linked to the Barbie movie in 2023, and since I have been unable to stop singing I'm Just Ken every waking moment of the day since I went to see it, I thought it only made sense to have Western Ken as my Barbie pick for this list. Add a little Kenergy to your Funko collection, you know you want to.

Unmasked MODOK Funko Pop!
Marvel

Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing

You've probably forgotten most of what happened in Quantumania already, but I bet you haven't forgotten MODOK. The very weird take on an iconic Marvel villain, and now you can remember him always by having a little version on your shelf.

Pros
  • The best part of Ant-Man 3... right?
  • Unsure whether he has his bum out
Cons
  • Unsure whether he has his bum out (yes, it's a con too)

Marvel's 2023 has been pretty hit-and-miss so far. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 was a hit, and Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse was an even bigger one. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantimania, on the other hand, maybe not so much. My guess is it's only going to be one of those MCU movies we look back on and decide we gave it a bad rap, or maybe that's just wishful thinking. Whether you're on board with that line of thought or not, you should pick up this MODOK Pop! If we all like Ant-Man 3 five years from now, you'll probably have a rare Funko. If we don't, well, you'll probably still have a rare Funko you can point and laugh at.

Monsters Inc Boo VHS Cover Funko Pop!
Disney

Kitty!

Funko not only has comic cover Pop! figures, it also has some with VHS cover backdrops. A serious hit of nostalgia from all of these, and if there's a better one than the Boo Pop!, I'm yet to see it.

Pros
  • Seriously nostalgic VHS cover vibes
  • The best movie Disney has ever made
Cons
  • The start of a slippery slope, you'll want them all

If comic books aren't your jam, then maybe Disney movies are your thing. Funko has you covered on that front too via its collection of Pop! figures that come complete with the corresponding movie's VHS cover as their backdrop. Not only do I believe Monsters Inc. to be Pixar's best movie, but I think it's the best-animated motion picture Disney has made full stop. Whether you agree or not, there's no denying this is a must-have Pop!

FAQ

What Is The Rarest Funko Pop! Figure?

Like any collectible, some Funko Pop! figures are rarer than others. However, the rarest of all is Marvel's Stan Lee Superhero Platinum Metallic Pop! Only ten of them were ever made, and the last time one of them changed hands in 2022, its selling price was a whopping $18,000.

Do Funko Pop! Figures Lose Value When Opened?

No, unlike some other toys and action figures, Funko Pops will not necessarily lose value as soon as you take them out of their boxes. You will need to keep the box and make sure it remains in pristine condition if you do plan on ever selling them and you want them to retain their value, though.

How Many Funko Pop! Figures Are There?

As of 2023, there are 13,741 Funko Pop! figures spanning just about every series and franchise you can think of. Not just the ones featured on this list, but everything from Pokemon to God of War and Halo too.
