You might go against many bosses while exploring the open world of Remnant 2, but there'll never be anything quite like The Corrupted Ravager. The boss has a wide range of random attacks, and you have to learn how to dodge each one of them if you want to stand a chance against it.

You're given a certain choice before the battle, and if you choose to fight the beast, you'll be in an open area with multiple vulnerable pillars that break quite easily. You have to work with everything you can find on the battlefield to defeat the Corrupted Ravager.

How To Find The Corrupted Ravager

Remnant 2 Doe In Ravager's Liar

To get to this boss, you'll first have to solve the Harp Puzzle in The Forbidden Grove area. You'll have to get past two more areas to solve this puzzle, which will then activate the bridge leading directly to the Ravager's Liar. As you enter the area and walk a bit, a long dialogue will trigger with the Corrupted Ravager.

At the end of this dialogue, you'll see the Doe sitting in a big room injured. The Ravager will ask you to kill it, but you'll get three choices at this point:

  1. Shoot the injured Doe and completely avoid the fight with the Ravager. This is the easy way out.
  2. Go near the Doe and revive it. This will make the Doe attack Ravager, triggering the boss fight while it escapes.
  3. Finally, you can simply shoot Ravager when he asks you to choose. This choice isn't recommended since the item you get at the end of it isn't as useful.

If you've chosen the second or third option, you'll have to prepare for quite a difficult boss fight.

How To Defeat Corrupted Ravager

Remnant 2 Shooting Ravager At Weak Spot

As soon as you meet the Ravager for the first time in its Liar, you'll notice a bunch of corruption on his back. This has a giant hitbox, making it extremely easy to attack. When you start fighting the boss, you have to focus all your attacks on this part of its body to deal higher damage.

Moreover, it's recommended to use long-range weapons before the fight starts because you wouldn't want to be close to this boss due to its rapid attacks. Though you can still win this fight with a shotgun, it'll be significantly harder. During the fight, it's recommended to stay in an open area and avoid hiding behind a pillar.

These pillars are easily destroyed, and they don't stop the Ravager's attacks.

You need to preserve these pillars for certain special attacks discussed below.

How To Dodge Corrupted Ravager's Attacks

Remnant 2 Ravager Dashing At Player

It's easy to shoot at Ravager's vulnerable spot, but what makes this fight one of the hardest is its rapid attacks. It's important to learn how these attacks work and when you have to dodge them to avoid damage. Here are all the attacks you'll find the Corrupted Ravager performs:

Attack Name

Description And How To Dodge

Claw Attack

This is the most common attack performed by the Ravager when you're near it, and it slashes you with each of its claws once (twice in total). To prevent this attack, you have to dodge when the first claw attack is mid-way and then instantly dodge again.

If you're even a little late in dodging the first attack, you won't have time to dodge the second one.

Tail Attack

Ravager usually follows up the Claw Attack with this one where it slaps its tail on the ground where you're standing while jumping away. You'll have to dodge this while the boss is in midair and you'll take damage if you try to predict it and do it too early.

Rush Attack

When you're far away from the boss, it'll perform a rush attack where it comes at you with its jaw open. While the boss is speedy during this attack, you still have to be patient and wait for it to get close before you dodge it.

Ground Shake

This is another attack that Ravager performs when it's far away from you. You'll see the boss creating some red light below its feet. After a second, this red light will convert into a wave coming at you at high speed while increasing its length horizontally.

To dodge this attack, you have to wait until it reaches close to you and then dodge sideways. Keep in mind that you'll still take damage if you dodge into the wave by mistake.

Howl

Ravager can have two different howls during the battle that have different effects. The first howl is produced when he's roughly between 30 and 80 percent health. This covers the ground in red mist and makes the boss' attacks much faster.

The second howl happens more commonly below 30 percent health where the boss summons a red aura in a giant area around it. You need to get out of this area while the boss is charging or you'll take high damage every second while you're in it.

Tornado Attack

Finally, the boss can also perform a tornado attack, which constantly pulls you into it. This attack affects the entire field and you'll take high damage per second if you reach near the boss. This is where you have to use the nearby pillars.

Use your dashes to put one of the pillars between you and the boss to not get pulled anymore. This attack can be deadly if you don't have any pillars.

The boss can also spawn random small enemies on the battlefield during or in between the attacks mentioned above.

These enemies have a high chance of spawning ammo when they're defeated, which makes it important to focus them.

Once you master the dodging pattern with Ravager, it'll be easy to defeat in between its attacks. Defeating the boss will give you the respective rewards based on your choice.
