If you have taste, you'll love Mortal Kombat's Jade. She's the kick-ass assassin in green who spies for Shao Kahn and serves as bodyguard to Kitana, but there's no sign of her in MK1 so far.

When Ed Boon got stuck in an ER waiting room this morning, he launched a Q&A on Twitter, and fans were quick to ask about where she is. "WILL WE SEE JADE IN MK1" john_lmfaooo asked. Ed Boon simply replied, "I can't reveal." It's not a yes, but it's not a no--there's hope. Of course, all John asked was if we'll see her in MK1, which could mean anything from a full-roster fighter to a Kameo to a literal cameo in the background of the story.

It's not just Jade who fans are curious about. Sonya, who has been a Mortal Kombat fighter since the very beginning, hasn't been confirmed to be on the main roster. So far, she's only been seen on the Kameo line-up. Boon joked about this when @HCWzILLYSILLY said, "PLEASE ANYTHING ABOUT SONYA", replying, "Anything? She's a Kameo." @SONYA_SMOKE_MK1 asked something a little more direct, "Sonya main roster for MK1?" Ed Boon said, "Gotta wait."

The wait might not be too long since Ed Boon also teased the next Kombat Kast along with future character reveals. "When's the next reveal event [eyes emoji]," @i_drewski asked. "Event or video? Video is very soon. We will also have MK1 at EVO," Boon answered. "When can we expect the next MK1 reveal??" @DalanMontague asked. "Within a week?" Boon said. He also added that the Kombat Kast is "very soon", likely being the video mentioned, and that a Reiko trailer is coming "SOON".

Nestled in this Q&A is a whole stream of questions about specific characters like Sindel and Ashrah, but Ed Boon only replied with vague GIFs--it's probably not a good idea to read too much into those. But when asked about Sareena, Boon said, "I shouldn't answer roster questions. Then the reveal videos won't be as fun." He also said "Notaru" to "Hotaru", sorry Hotaru fans.

Another fan asked if "Nitara hopes are [...] reasonable". Boon replied, "Peter Gabriel + Kate Bush [musical note emoji]", referencing the song "Don't Give Up". She featured in a leaked roster back in June, which was seemingly debunked, but that doesn't mean she won't make her way into the game. If we're lucky, she'll be throwing hands alongside Sonya and Jade on the main roster soon enough.
