Diablo 4's sanctuary is ginormous, and trudging your boots through endless creatures of hell is a tall order to ask. It's any wonder any NPCs ever survive journeys between regions. Luckily, you can teleport between major settlements and villages using Waypoints.

Unlocking Waypoints can be as easy as showing up in the settlement and interacting with them, causing them to glow blue with light. In Diablo 4, there are monsters everywhere, and you will constantly need to sell loot that you scavenge from dungeons and monsters you've slain, so having unlocked Waypoints is crucial for your survival.

Fractured Peaks Map

Diablo 4: Fractured Peaks map

Fractured Peaks features seven Waypoints, and as the starting area, they're not too difficult to unlock, excluding Nostrava, but we'll get to that later.

We've laid out all the unlockable Waypoints in Fractured Peaks and how to unlock them.

Waypoints serve as a quick form of transport and reward you with 20 regional Renown points.

Earn enough Renown in a region, and you can acquire bonus skill points for your character while in the region, large sums of gold, extra potion slots, increase your Max Obols capacity, and earn other bonus rewards.

To unlock each Waypoint in Fractured Peaks, you must complete the Rite of Passage story quest during the Prologue and enter the city of Kyovashad.

Kyovashad Waypoint

Diablo 4: Kyovashad Waypoint

To complete the Rite of Passage main story quest, you must choose a sin to write on a piece of paper and burn it at the Kyovashad Gatehouse. Once you enter Kyovashad, walk to the town center and activate the Waypoint.

Kyovashad is the main city and your hub while adventuring through the Fractured Peaks region. You will find everything you need to prepare for dungeons and questing here.

Kyovashad is located in the center of the Fractured Peaks region in the Desolate Highlands area.

Nevesk Waypoint

Diablo 4:Nevesk Waypoint

Nevesk is the first hamlet that you visit in the game during the prologue. While all the cultist villagers were killed during the prologue, Nevesk is repopulated with the Woodsman of Nevesk quest giver, a healer, and a blacksmith.

Once you complete the prologue, the Nevesk Waypoint will be shown on your map. It's a good idea to unlock the Nevesk Waypoint straight away as it will reward you with Renown and grant you a great spot to travel to.

The Lost Archives, Defiled Catacomb, and Tormented Ruins Dungeons are all located nearby.

Yelesna Waypoint

Diablo 4: Fractured Peaks Yelesna Waypoint

Yelesna is found in the Gale Valley area of Fractured Peaks; you must visit Yelesna during Act 1 of the campaign. You can get to the village by taking the southeastern path from Kyovashad.

Yelesna has a number of services available such as a Stable Master, Armor Vendor, Purveyor of Curiosities, Healer, and Blacksmith.

To the east, you will find the Dead Man's Dredge dungeon, and to the north, The Darkened Way story dungeon.

Bear Tribe Refuge

Diablo 4: Fractured Peaks Bear Tribe Refuge Waypoint

The Bear Tribe Refuge is an essential settlement and Waypoint to unlock to tackle the Kor Dragan Stronghold to the north and the Malnok Stronghold to the south, as it's the only Waypoint in the northern parts of Fractured Peaks.

Found in the Seat of the Heavens area, the Bear Tribe Refuge is a tiny hamlet that boasts a Healer, Armor Vendor, and Blacksmith.

Once you unlock Malnok, you can access more vendors and services.

The Bear Tribe Refuge is located close to the Anica's Claim Dungeon to the south by Malnok, filled with the Ice Clan beasts that overrun Malnok.

Menestad Waypoint

Diablo 4: Menestad Waypoint

Menestad is found in the Sarkova Pass in the northwest parts of Fractured Peaks. You can take either the northwest or western path from Kyovashad to get there.

You will likely travel to Menestad after picking up the Menestad Coffer's side quest by investigating the missing monk Bozan.

Menestad offers the most services in Fractured Peaks, excluding the city of Kyovashad. You will find a Healer, a Weapons, an Armor Vendor, a Stable Master, Rings, an Amulet Vendor, and a Blacksmith.

Menestad is an essential Waypoint for the Necromancer class, as the Call of the Underworld side quest takes place in the Sarkova Pass area.

Margrave Waypoint

Diablo 4: Margrave Waypoint

Margrave is located in the southern area of Dobrev Taiga. You can get to the settlement by walking along the southern road from Kyovashad.

Margrave is located close to the Hermit's Abode Cellar, and an Altar of Lilith can be found walking along the southeastern path.

Margrave is home to a Stable Master, Armor Vendor, Blacksmith, and Healer. However, you'll likely use the Margrave Waypoint to travel to Hawezar.

Nostrava Waypoint

Diablo 4: Nostrava Waypoint

Nostrava is found in the western parts of Fractured Peaks in the Pallid Glade area. Nostrava is a Stronghold that you must clear to unlock its Waypoint and services.

Since Nostrava has both a Waypoint and a Stronghold, you will earn 30 Renown Points for clearing and activating the Waypoint.

To clear the Stronghold, you must enter the chapel and talk to the priestess before searching the villagers' homes and destroying five Demonic Effigies.

Finally, you will have to travel back to the chapel to confront the demon Negala Lilith's Chosen.

The Negala Lilith's Chosen Boss is a difficult battle as she will summon two other demons, Torvala and Korzira, to fight you.

We recommend taking each demon out one at a time, as their attacks become more erratic as each marker hits their health bar.

Alternatively, you could whittle each demon's health down close to these markers before focusing one down, as this will give them less time to attack in their next combat phase.

Nostrava has Blacksmith services, a Stable Master, Healer, and a Weapons Vendor. You can also find one of Lilith's Altars in town.

To the north, you will find the Cultist Refuge dungeon, where the remaining cultists from Nostrava fled. But that's not all; a short walk up to the Pallid Glade will lead you to the Derelict Lodge dungeon and Nostrava Deepwood.

How Do You Use Waypoints In Diablo 4?

Diablo 4: Backtracking through Teleporter

You can travel to any Waypoint on the map once it has been unlocked; however, if you are struck by an enemy while channeling the teleport, it will cancel.

You can teleport from dungeons, excluding dungeons that are restricted for narrative restrictions.

Once you've teleported to a location, you can walk back through the teleporter to your previous destination. However, leaving the Waypoint settlement will cause the teleport to collapse.

You can teleport to Kyovashad by pressing the T key or the down on the D-pad. The city you teleport to determines what region you are currently in; therefore, if you're in Fractured Peaks, you will teleport to Kyovashad by default.

You'll want as many Waypoints as possible because Weapon, Armor Vendors, Amulet, and Necklace Vendors will all offer different equipment to sell.

Vendors also have a timer that rotates their stock, so being able to travel using Waypoints will drastically reduce the time to check their new stock.
