A roaming samurai from the Inazuma region, Kaedehara Kazuha is a former military and one of the best Anemo users in Genshin Impact. Since he has impressive stats on his own, he can be equipped with a wider range of weapons, unlike some playable characters that really only work best with four and five-star weapons.
His Swirl skills do a load of damage to enemies thanks to his Elemental Mastery. Generally, the most optimal way to play him is as an EM-focused support, but that doesn't mean you can't make him a DPS if you want to. There are weapons that fulfill every potential role for him.
Updated July 14, 2023, by Jouanna Bondakji: Genshin Impact is still expanding, and so is its weapon selection. Now that Sumeru's act has almost come to a close, you can look back and see all the weapons that have been added over time. Some of these weapons are gacha-exclusive, while others are forgeable or free in events. Luckily, there are a couple of them that suit Kaedehara Kazuha well, giving you even more choices when you're building him.
8 Dark Iron Sword – Three-Star
How you get this weapon is a little different than usual; it's pretty easy as long as you have Liyue unlocked. You just have to find and talk to Chen the Sharp, a food vendor located in Liyue.
This is the only way you can get this weapon. It gives Kazuha 31 to 141 extra points of Elemental Mastery, depending on its level.
Its passive skill gives him a 20 percent ATK increase for 12 seconds every time he triggers any sort of Electro-related reaction, including Swirl. This is especially good for Kazuha if you have Electro characters who are constantly generating Electro on your team.
Plus, if you want to give Kazuha some DPS potential while still feeding his EM needs, this weapon is perfect on a budget.
7 Sacrificial Sword – Four-Star
Giving Kazuha the Sacrificial Sword is almost the same as unlocking his first constellation, except the weapon is slightly less reliable. Its passive makes it so that, when Kazuha uses his Elemental Skill, there's a 40 to 80 percent chance his Skill cooldown will end instantly.
This is pretty useful for him, as his Skill does a lot of Swirl damage. Activating it twice in a row is nothing to scoff at.
That, coupled with the sword giving him a 13.3 to 61.3 percent boost in Energy Recharge, means he has the potential to be a Skill and Burst beast. It also means you can focus your energy on getting his EM up with artifacts, which is always a plus.
6 Favonius Sword – Four-Star
The Favonius Sword and Sacrificial Sword are pretty similar since they both have the same base ATK, secondary stat, and even percentage of that secondary stat. But the crucial difference is in their passive skills.
The Favonius Sword gives Kazuha a 60 to 100 percent chance of generating six Energy particles every 12 to six seconds, depending on its refinement.
This is pretty good if you have a high CRIT Rate on Kazuha since he'll be generating Energy on top of the Energy Recharge he gets automatically from the weapon, which results in even more Bursts. But balancing between CRIT Rate and EM can be tricky.
That is unless you want Kazuha to be more of a DPS, in which case, this sword would be even better for him than Sacrificial Sword.
5 Iron Sting – Four-Star
The Iron Sting is easy to obtain, as you’ll be able to forge it at the blacksmith’s shop. It's a lucky break, because it's actually one of the top four-star choices for Kazuha, especially if you don't want to spend any wishes.
This is because it gives him a bonus of 36 to 165 EM points, depending on its level.
Plus, thanks to its passive, every time he deals Elemental DMG, it will increase all damage he does by six to 12 percent for six seconds, depending on refinement. This can be stacked twice and used once every second.
Kazuha is all about Elemental DMG, so he'll always be doing some good damage with this. The 510 base ATK at level 90 isn't too shabby, either.
4 Xiphos' Moonlight - Four-Star
This weapon rewards the character for having EM, so it's perfect for Kazuha. It gives him a 36 to 165 point increase in EM, and its passive skill bestows 0.036 to 0.072 percent Energy Recharge for every point of EM he has every ten seconds.
Other team members also get 30 percent of this buff, so he's not the only one benefiting from it.
This covers two important bases for Kazuha: EM and ER, as well as allowing him to act as a battery for other party members. The best part is that he doesn't even have to be on-field for the passive effect to trigger, so Xiphos' Moonlight is a solid choice for support-based Kazuha.
3 Alley Flash – Four-Star
The Alley Flash works for Kazuha if you got lucky in the weapon gacha, though it's more suited for making him DPS-oriented. It gives him 12 to 55 extra points of Elemental Mastery, which isn't much compared to a sword like the Iron Sting.
However, its base ATK is a whopping 620, and its passive skill automatically increases all his DMG by 12 to 24 percent.
The downside is that taking damage stops this effect for five seconds, but that can be mitigated if you have a good shielder in your team, such as Zhongli. If you want to use Kazuha as an on-field DPS instead of a support unit, this weapon does the job.
2 Skyward Blade – Five-Star
Skyward Blade is one of the easier five-star weapons to get just because it's in every banner. With it, Kazuha’s base ATK bumps up between 46 and 608 depending on his level.
He also gets an Energy Recharge boost between 12 and 55.1 percent, helping to keep him active in battle.
Its passive does a bunch of things at once. It increases his CRIT Rate by four to eight percent just by having it equipped, and both his Movement SPD and ATK SPD increase by ten percent when he does an Elemental Burst (which is often, thanks to the extra Energy Recharge).
Normal and Charged hits also deal 20 to 40 percent of his ATK as damage. It's another good option if you want Kazuha to act as a main or sub-DPS.
1 Freedom-Sworn – Five-Star
Freedom-Sworn is Kazuha's signature weapon, so it's worth trying if you're really invested in him. It gives him 43 to 198 extra points of EM--almost 200 just for getting it to level 90.
Its passive also increases his DMG by ten to 20 percent, depending on its refinement. Additionally, causing an elemental reaction will produce a Sigil of Rebellion.
Having two of those Sigils will give the whole team a 20 to 40 percent ATK boost, as well as a 16 to 32 percent increase in their Normal, Charged, and Plunged DMG. Needless to say, it's an awesome choice if you want to use Kazuha as support and see him shred enemies with EM.
