Uniques are rare pieces of equipment with special effects in Diablo 4. Unlike Legendary items that you can extract and infuse the powers of onto different items, the effects on Unique equipment can't be transferred, making them truly unique.
The Frostburn Gloves are a Unique item that provide a powerful effect, if you can fit it into your build. Below, we'll take a look at what these gloves do, where they drop from, and the best methods for farming for them.
Frostburn Unique Effect Explained
The Frostburn Gloves have the following Unique effect:
Lucky Hit: Up to a [15-25]% chance to Freeze enemies for 2 seconds. |
Additionally, the Frostburn Gloves can roll with increased Cold damage and Freeze duration, making them especially suited to builds that utilize these types of abilities. However, even outside of Freeze-based builds, the Frostburn Gloves can provide some useful Crowd Control.
How To Get The Frostburn Gloves
The Frostburn Gloves can drop from almost any source, as long as you are in World Tier 3 or 4. World Tier 3 unlocks after completing the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon, while World Tier 4 unlocks after clearing the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon.
Once you're in at least World Tier 3, you can pretty much find the Frostburn Gloves anywhere you can get other items. Nightmare Dungeons, World Bosses, and Helltide are just a few examples of activities you can complete for a chance to get this Unique item.
If waiting around for RNG to roll in your favor, you can help your chances a bit by target-farming from sources that have a higher chance to drop Gloves. For example, Tree of Whispers reward caches that feature Gloves, Helltide Tortured Gifts of Protection, or specific monster types.
Spiders have a much higher chance to drop Gloves than all other equipment types, making them a good source for the Frostburn Gloves in particular. The Sarat's Lair Dungeon has tons of spider enemies, so this is a great choice to farm for the Frostburn Gloves.
