Although it's yet to be confirmed by Ludosity and Fair Play Labs, it appears that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2's release date has been leaked by several retailers, who suggest that it'll launch October 24.

Earlier this week, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 was finally officially revealed after spending months as the industry's worst-kept secret thanks to various leaks for characters, outfits, taunts, and more. Somewhat surprisingly considering how little time there's been since the first game, it was also confirmed to be releasing later this year, although without a specific release date or even a month to keep an eye on.

GameMill might not be ready to officially confirm the game's release date just yet, but it seems they might not have to, as several retailers have jumped the gun and announced it already. As pointed out by CrazyCanine25 on the All-Star Brawl subreddit, All-Star Brawl 2 has started becoming available to pre-order physically at some retailers and some of them seem to already include a release date.

In the UK, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is currently up for pre-order on Amazon, where it's listed as having a release date of October 24. In the US, it's listed as having the same release date on Best Buy, which certainly lends some evidence to that being the game's official launch date. Strangely, GameStop doesn't have a release date listed at all currently, while the Target and Walmart pre-orders haven't yet gone live.

Although it's possible that both Amazon and Best Buy have somehow got things wrong and the game isn't set for a release on October 24, it seems more likely that they've both accidentally listed the date ahead of time. We'll have to wait for an official confirmation from Ludosity, who is still saying that it's just "2023".

As a fan of the original game, I'm hoping that date ends up being wrong, because it couldn't be picking a worse week or even month to be coming out. Not only is October absolutely stacked as it is with Sonic Superstars, Forza Motorsport, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, but October 24 is just a few days after the launch of Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Spider-Man 2, which both arrive on October 20.

This is remarkably similar to what happened last time, as Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's release ended up competing with the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character reveal, which ended up being Sora and basically taking everyone's interest away from SpongeBob beating the snot out of Patrick for a little while. If GameMill has any sense, it'll delay the game into November.
