Now that Pokemon Sleep has finally launched after years of waiting, including quite some time without knowing any details, you can now track your sleep while using Pokemon, learning about your patterns and improving your circadian rhythm.
Pokemon Sleep may be the second Pokemon life app after Pokemon Smile, but what other life apps featuring the beloved Pocket Monsters could be made next? There are so many different smartphone apps available it's surprising that there isn't a Pokemon-themed version of every kind of app, especially after the immense success of Pokemon GO - but some could always appear in the near future.
8 Pokemon Fit
While Pokemon GO helped a lot of people get exercise after its 2016 launch, and the Poke Walker may have helped some fans a few years earlier, this was more of an additional benefit rather than a Pokemon app entirely dedicated to fitness. Because so many different fitness apps already exist, a hypothetical Pokemon Fitness app could use them for inspiration and hopefully be better.
The app could contain various Pokemon-themed workouts explicitly set to the player's preferences and needs, such as Primeape push-ups and Hitmonlee leg raises. It could even include Pokemon GO integration through a peripheral device, where players can choose a Pokemon to work out with, similar to raising Digimon through Bandai's Vital Bracelets.
7 Pokemon Cook
A Pokemon Cooking app could have a variety of recipes, both included by the developers and player submitted, for fans to try out. There are already several official Pokemon cookbooks, so this app could not only pull recipes directly from them, but it could also include several exclusive recipes not previously seen anywhere else.
Various food-based Pokemon from every generation could also appear as players follow each recipe in order to assist them by providing proper measurements and timing. This hypothetical app could even once again include Pokemon GO integration by granting players specific bonuses for each recipe they successfully follow.
6 Pokemon Meal Planner And Calorie Counter
Of course, maybe some Pokemon fans are on a diet for health reasons or don't like what's on the Pokemon Cooking app, and that's where a Pokemon Meal Planner and Calorie Counter app comes in. Instead of helping players follow recipes, this app could make sure players are getting the proper amount of daily nutrition and help them plan their meals for the week ahead of time.
Rather than food-based Pokemon, this app would feature Pokemon known for eating, such as Munchlax, Greedent, and Morpeko, to help represent when players are under or over their calorie limit, depending on their intake.
5 Pokemon Social Media
While social media isn't great for our mental health, many people use it for work and to keep in touch with friends they may not see or talk to often. The recently opened Pokemon Community Forums are already a step toward a Pokemon social media app, and between services like Twitter declining and replacement apps appearing, there may as well be a Pokemon-themed one.
Unlike other social media apps, a Pokemon-themed one could have a built-in daily time limit and better moderation than its predecessors. The fourth-generation Pokemon Rotom would likely be the mascot for a Pokemon-themed social media app, as it's already integrated into the world through smartphones and other devices.
4 Pokemon Money Saver
In the past few years, a handful of money-saving apps such as PayPal Honey and Rocket Money have appeared, but what if avid Pokemon fans could save money and have more fun while doing it through a Pokemon Money Saver app?
This app could have players raise a Gimmeghoul, achieving its chest form once a specific goal is met and eventually evolving into Gholdengo somewhere down the line once players have used the app for a long enough time. Meowth could also be included somewhere in this app, as it was the first Pokemon to be related to money in some way, so it could represent when savings decrease.
3 Pokemon Med
Keeping track of medications is important, so why not make it easier through a Pokemon-themed medication app? Of course, the Pokemon Center and Nurse Joy, as well as the Pokemon Happiny, Chansey, Blissey, and Audino, would all have to be included in this app too, due to their relevance to the subject.
Nurse Joy and these various Pokemon could remind players when to take their medications after they've set a frequency, as well as remind them if they need a refill soon. A Pokemon Medication app wouldn't be the most detailed Pokemon life app, but it could still provide a more fun way for players to keep track of their health.
2 Pokemon Scheduler/Organizer
A Pokemon Scheduler or Organizer app could be helpful for those with constantly busy schedules. For this app, Porygon could be put back in the spotlight, with the first-generation Pokemon representing a clunky schedule, its evolution Porygon 2 representing a smooth schedule, and their final form Porygon Z representing a more hectic schedule so that players know what they're in for each week.
Like the hypothetical Pokemon medication app, a Pokemon scheduler and organizer app would have little variety in its use, but it would make looking at the week ahead more fun for those who may simply be going through the motions throughout their lives.
1 Pokemon Life
All of these hypothetical apps could be wrapped into one with a general Pokemon Life app, allowing players to use Pokemon in conjunction with their everyday needs. Players could track their step count, workouts, calories, schedules, and more, letting the internationally beloved Pocket Monsters take over nearly all family-friendly aspects of their lives.
Rolling so many different ideas into one app may be a difficult task, but consistently adding new features and including Pokemon GO integration from the start could not only get more people to download the app but could also rejuvenate Pokemon GO's popularity since it has decreased somewhat since its 2016 launch.
