Diablo 4's latest patch has caused a bit of an uproar amongst the diehard faithfuls out there, and that's putting it pretty mildly. Not only have they promised to delete the game in protest of recent nerfs to Sorcerers and other classes, but they've also been review bombing Diablo 4's Metacritic page on mass, with hundreds of negative reviews tanking the game's already iffy user rating to a dismal 2.5. It's a very unpopular patch is what I'm trying to say.

What with all the commotion and furor surrounding the recent changes, it's been impossible for Blizzard to sit back and ignore it. It's already announced that a Campfire Chat will be taking place on Friday in which developers will talk about the criticism, but it seems they're already addressing certain complaints and rolling back changes made in the latest patch (thanks GamesRadar).

It wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, but Blizzard made a snekay change to Diablo 4's World Tiers upon the release of patch 1.1, making it so that you can only access World Tiers 3 and 4 when you character's level was 40 and 60 respectively. It was a fairly unpopular change that was overshadowed by all the Sorcerer nerfs and other tomfoolery, but Blizzard has already decided to walk it back and remove the level requirements completely.

This was announced by global community development director Adam Fletcher in repsonse to someone discovering the level requirements, who simply states that Blizzard will be removing it at some point. Quite why Blizzard has decided to remove the feature so soon after introducing it is a mystery, though it should give Diablo players a bit of hope that the developer may revert some of the game's other, more unpopular changes after talking about them tomorrow.

Speaking of Diablo 4 players, they've also noticed that Blizzard is already rolling back changes, which has thrown more fuel on the fire. Head on over to the Diablo 4 subreddit and you'll see many fans mocking Blizzard for having to fix things so soon after a patch that was designed to be a hype builder, while others are calling for the entire patch to be reverted since vanilla Diablo 4 was a lot more enjoyable than it currently is.

It's likely we'll have to wait until part way through Season 1 or Season 2 before we see any buffs to fix this entire mess though, as it's unlikely Blizzard will simply revert back to a previous version. Hopefully, we'll hear a bit more about what the devs plan to do about this entire mess tomorrow.
