If you're going into a Diablo game expecting to have unique and constantly new content thrown at you throughout your entire experience, you're going to be pretty disappointed. Diablo is a series all about the grind, running dungeons over and over until you acquire the best gear your patience allows. Most players go in expecting a bit of repetitivity, which makes complaints surrounding dungeon bosses all the more surprising.

In a very popular post over on the Diablo 4 subreddit, an irritated player by the name of u/JamboreeStevens has shared their frustration with constantly coming up against the same dungeon boss fights over and over again, wishing that Blizzard had made more unique bosses to shake up the dungeon formula a little bit more. It's a sentiment shared by quite a lot of fellow Diablo 4 players, as it seems like they're already getting a bit sick of fighting Tomb Lords and Blood Bishops.

Others think the problem's a little more complex than that though, as u/Electrical_Specific6 thinks the issue isn't the number of bosses, rather how similar they are to each other. They explain that the number of bosses was fairly similar in Diablo 3, but those bosses all felt a lot different to each other, whereas Diablo 4 has a lot of "generic" fights that get repeated a lot, which leads to this feeling of repetitivity.

Others have taken the opportunity to complain about the dungeons themselves, such as u/VaderMug who has called them "disguised fetch quests in a cave", while u/Jefc141 isn't impressed with them either, complaining that they're just "the same rooms just rotated". Given that there's hundreds of dungeons to go through in Diablo 4, you can kind of empathise with those that want to try and complete them all.

Then there are those that are offering up ways in which Blizzard could make the Diablo 4 experience a little better, such as u/Teejaymac who is confused as to why Blizzard doesn't repurpose some of the campaign bosses to spice up the variety a bit more. In fact, there are quite a few great bosses in the campaign that players would probably relish fighting again, but given that most skip the campaign on playthroughs with new characters, many think those fights are "wasted content".

Diablo 4 will likely add some more unique boss fights as the season go by to try an alleviate this problem, the first of which begins in just a few days on July 20. Hopefully, we'll get a few new and interesting bosses to take down.
