If you’re into the whole world of astrology, you probably know very well what your zodiac sign is. For whatever reason, there seems to be some solid overlap between fans of zodiac signs and fans of Disney properties, which may lead some to wonder which villain they’d be.
Everyone knows that Disney is home to some of the greatest villains to ever take the big screen. Whether classic or much more modern, Disney continues to put out iconic villains just about every time they release a film, and now, you can find out exactly which Villain you are based on your sign.
Captain Hook - Capricorn
At first, choosing a sign that values things like time and ambition might seem odd for Captain Hook, but despite his dislike of tickling clocks, this pirate is definitely a Capricorn. Just think about it, his entire life is devoted to getting revenge on Peter Pan.
If that’s not the most goal-oriented and ambitious thing possible for a Disney villain, then who knows what is? Captain Hook bides his time, always looking for the perfect time to strike, all while taking care to avoid the dastardly crocodile that’s looking for some more pirate captain in its diet.
Scar - Aquarius
It shouldn’t be a surprise that Scar would fall in line with the effortlessly revolutionary Aquarius sign. He basically does launch his own small-scale revolution against his brother Mufasa in order to take control of the land.
Scar may be misguided in believing that his brand of ruling will be the best thing for the world, but he does what he can to ensure his dreams become a reality. Most people don’t innovate by tossing someone into a pack of wildebeests, but maybe that’s just Scar’s style of innovation.
Yzma - Pisces
There are many things that make up a Pisces, but one of the biggest is their introspection and ability to get lost in their own thoughts. Some may not love it, but that absolutely makes Yzma a Pisces as she thinks up and immediately acts on her villainous schemes with ease.
It’s also easy to argue that she is empathetic to some degree considering she does seem to reform at least a little bit at the very end of The Emperor’s New Groove with Kronk there, although she is also stuck in cat form.
Shan Yu - Aries
Shan Yu, the leader of the Hun from Mulan is one of the easiest to point to a zodiac for, and he’s absolutely an Aries. A brave sign that will take on all comers? That perfectly describes Shan Yu, even if he’s on the side of evil.
His goal is to take over an entire country, a goal he only fails at thanks to the interference of Mulan. Regardless, Shan Yu was willing to take on one of the most difficult tasks possible without even batting an eye.
Mother Gothel - Taurus
The average Taurus is well-known to enjoy the finer things in life, making the sign a perfect match for Mother Gothel. While she’s not as pompous and greedy as some other evil Disney Villains, she does take matters into her own hands to ensure she continues to live lavishly.
Her whole goal is to constantly maintain her youth, something most would see as a desire to continue enjoying luxuries. Unfortunately, she does that at the expense of Rapunzel, but, spoiler alert for every Disney movie ever, everything ends up working out in the end.
Jafar - Gemini
To be fair, Jafar is a lot less fun-loving than many other Gemini are, but he is a wild, inquisitive, and domineering person. His entire goal is to get his hands on the power of a genie in order to take control of Agrabah.
His inquisitive nature comes from what had to be a journey to discover what a genie is and where it is hidden, and his domineering nature is shown throughout the film. The masterful schemer is a perfect example of how nefarious a Gemini can be if someone gets on their bad side.
Ursula - Cancer
Few Disney villains are represented by a zodiac sign quite as well as Ursula is as a Cancer. It’s her ability to trick people into accepting her double-edged contracts that show off the duality that the average Cancer can carry.
It’s easy for a Cancer to show the world one side of their personality while weaponizing the other side when the moment calls for it, and Ursula does that to perfection. Forget simply keeping emotions shielded, Ursula keeps herself as guarded as possible as often as possible.
Gaston - Leo
You already knew that Gaston was going to be the representation of a Leo before you even started reading the list. The flair for dramatics and sheer passion he shows throughout Beauty And The Beast is unmatched, which is part of why so many people love this Disney villain.
There’s literally an entire song dedicated to showing off just how incredible Gaston is, even if it does make him come off like a villain. The man is a Leo through and through and everyone who is a Leo knows they can relate to the man far too well in more ways than one.
Cruella De Vil - Virgo
Some of the traits of Virgo’s that can be positive and negative are things like being systematic and obsessive. It’s those two things that make Cruella De Vil the perfect Virgo with her evil dog-snatching schemes and love for fashion.
She is utterly obsessed with fur, to the extent that she is more than happy to do terrible things to adorable puppies. This sort of thing can be seen in a Virgo’s focus on whatever task is laid out before them – they’ll obsess and finish it before doing anything else.
Maleficent - Libra
Everyone knows that Libras are obsessed with ensuring that all things in their life are as equal as possible, and Maleficent takes that idea to the next level. You just want right and wrong to be even, while she wants horrific revenge for not being invited to a party.
There are certainly different levels to a Libra’s desire for balance, but it’s probably safe to say that Maleficent takes it a bit too far. She may be pure evil, but she’s just trying to show everyone what can happen when you disrespect a Libra.
Hades - Scorpio
One of the biggest traits of a Scorpio is just how emotional they are. That’s not inherently a bad thing, but Hades from Hercules takes being emotional to an unhealthy realm. He quite literally explodes with anger from time to time, leaving Panic and Pain to suffer.
It’s the emotional instability that can be seen from Hades that gives Scorpios a bad rap because, in reality, this sign is great at regulating their emotions, even if they tend to feel what they feel in big ways.
Hans - Sagittarius
Considering a Sagittarius is always looking to further develop themselves until they’re at the top of the food chain, Hans makes perfect sense as a representation of one. Constantly thirsty for power, he’ll do anything he can to rise through the ranks of the kingdom.
Every Sagittarius is rolling their eyes at being compared to Hans, but it’s the cold hard truth. Luckily, most Sagittarius signs use their drive to be the very best for good, and not to be a complete jerk to those around them.
